Retirement Education & Counseling Sessions

VRS offers education and counseling opportunities to help you plan your retirement. Please use the links provided below to view the schedule and download a registration form.

Schedule

Retirement Education Seminars (RES) introduce participants to long-range financial and estate planning as well as life after retirement. These are ideal if your retirement date is more than five years away.
Group Counseling Sessions (GCS) give participants the opportunity to learn more about their VRS retirement benefits and the application process. These are highly recommended if you are within five years of retirement.

Note: Please plan to register at least six weeks in advance. Sessions fill up quickly, so register early to reserve your seat(s).

One-on-one counseling is also available at VRS in downtown Richmond from 8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. No appointment is necessary.
