If you selected a survivor retirement option, your eligible spouse and dependents may enroll in the State Retiree Health Benefits Program after your death. However, they must apply within 60 days after your death, and you must have been covered at your death. If you did not choose a survivor retirement option, your eligible spouse and dependents may enroll in the State Retiree Health Benefits Program after your death if they were covered at the time of your death.
