Employer Contact Compliance Review Begins in May
In May, VRS will begin conducting employer contact compliance reviews by mailing a report to each employer, listing individuals authorized to receive VRS information. The employer is asked to verify and return the listing. VRS will conduct reviews every 18 months to ensure the security of VRS information.
| Type of Employer | Mail Date |
|---|---|
| School Divisions | May 2008 |
| State Agencies | July 2008 |
| Political Subdivisions | October 2008 |
What employers are asked to do
Employers are asked to check all information contained in the report to verify that:
- Each required area has a primary contact: Human Resources, Payroll, Publications and Accounting.
- All contact information is complete and up to date.
Employers may update information during the review period, including changing or deleting information for an existing contact. If adding a new contact, the employer must submit the Authorization of Employer Contacts (VRS-67). If designating a secondary administrative authority, the employer must submit the Employer Certification of Authority (VRS-67-A).
Important: Not returning the information by the deadline will result in a suspension of access to VRS information, including myVRS for Employers.
