How Do I Access My Defined Contribution Account?

ING, the new record keeper for the defined contribution plans, recently mailed Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) to participants in the Commonwealth of Virginia 457 Deferred Compensation Plan, Virginia Cash Match Plan, Optional Retirement Plan for Political Appointees, Optional Retirement Plan for School Superintendents and Virginia Supplemental Retirement Plan for certain school employees.

If you participate in one or more of these plans, you will use this temporary six-digit PIN to log into your account and set up your username and new PIN:

Go to the Log-In page.
On the left, under “User Login,” enter your Social Security number and the temporary PIN you received from ING.
At the prompt, change your username, create a new PIN and answer security questions to establish future PIN reset capabilities. This will enable you to change your PIN online if you forget or misplace it.

Note: This PIN provides access only to your defined contribution account, not to your myVRS account.
