If you work for a school board or political subdivision that offers the Commonwealth of Virginia 457 Deferred Compensation Plan, you can elect to participate in this tax-deferred savings opportunity. You also may be eligible for a cash match if your employer participates in a cash match plan such as the Virginia Cash Match Plan.
Note: If you work for a school board, you may be able to participate in your employer’s 403(b) deferred compensation plan. Check with your human resource office.
