Eligible Employees
The following types of people are eligible for the Virginia Sickness and Disability Program:
- Full-time and part-time salaried employees new to VRS, the State Police
Officer's Retirement System (SPORS) and the Virginia Law Officer's
Retirement System (VaLORS) as well as current employees electing VSDP in
most state agencies. (See the VSDP Member Handbook for a complete list of
eligible and ineligible employees.)
- Full-time teaching, research and administrative faculty at Virginia's public colleges and universities who are participating in VRS.
