Setting up a Hyper Terminal Session
- Click on the Start Button
- Click on Programs
- Click on the Accessories
- Click on the Hyper Terminal (In Windows 98, click on the Communications
folder to find Hyper Terminal
(Double) click on Hyper Terminal - Type in VRS as the session name and press OK
- Enter the phone number for the Employer Bulletin Board: 786-7062.
(All of your other settings -- Country code field, Area Code and the Connect Using fields should already be set up; if not use United States of America as the country code, 804 as the area code and the connect using field should have your type of modem in it.)
Click OK. - Click in the “Default Location Field” and enter your company’s name. (There are only 22 spaces here, so you might have to abbreviate.)
- Click on Dial. (Your computer should now be dialing the Employer Bulletin Board.)
