The VRS Product and Services Training Team designs and presents learning opportunities on a wide range of topics and in a variety of formats:
Traditional Classroom Learning
Coordinating Benefits is offered throughout the year in locations around the state. This comprehensive two-day course offers instruction on the purchase of prior service, service and disability retirement and death-in-service benefits. These sessions offer the opportunity to interact with others and network with peers in a traditional classroom setting. Flexible scheduling gives employers the opportunity to attend one day or both days of instruction.
Webinars
Convenient one-hour presentations, conducted monthly via the Internet and phone line, provide an opportunity to explore a topic in depth. Recent topics have included benefit payout options, purchase of prior service, optional life insurance, enhanced benefits for hazardous duty employees, death-in-service benefits and health insurance credit.
E-Learning
From time to time, VRS offers e-learning presentations and courses on specific topics, delivered through the VRS Web site. E-learning provides high-quality just-in-time training that is convenient and cost-effective.
