Long-Term Care Enrollment Begins Oct. 18 for Eligible Employees
The Commonwealth of Virginia (COV) Voluntary Group Long Term Care Insurance Program will hold an enrollment period from October 18 through December 10 for eligible school instructional and management employees and political subdivision employees. If you are not enrolled and your employer has elected to participate in the program, you can apply during the fall enrollment without medical underwriting (proof of good health). You must be currently employed and under age 80. Your spouse can apply with limited medical underwriting if he or she is under age 66.

Note: If you are a state employee, you were offered the opportunity to apply for the program in spring 2010 and are not eligible for the fall enrollment period. If you are not enrolled, you can apply for coverage for yourself and select family members at any time subject to medical underwriting.
