The VRS
Plan 2 Handbook for Members 
2202kb provides retirement plan information
for state employees, teachers and political subdivision employees hired or
rehired after July 1, 2010 who have no VRS service credit or Virginia Optional
Retirement Plan (ORP) balance prior to July 1, 2010.
Order Copies Online
If you wish to provide printed copies for your new employees, you may order Plan 2 Handbooks for Members online. Handbooks will be delivered to you quickly so there is no need to keep large quantities at your offices. Please only order copies for those hired and covered under Plan 2.
Other Handbook Reminders:
- The Plan 2 Handbook for Members for employees covered under the State Police Officers’ Retirement System (SPORS), Virginia Law Officers’ Retirement System (VaLORS) and VRS with local enhanced hazardous duty coverage will be available this fall. Stay tuned to Employer Update for announcements.
- VRS will no longer print and stock any Handbook for Members for the Plan 1 member groups. All Plan 1 handbooks will be updated and maintained on the VRS website.
- VRS will continue to print the Virginia Sickness and Disability Program (VSDP) Handbook for Participants and the Retiree Handbook as well as update and maintain these handbooks on the VRS website. A revised VSDP Handbook will be available this fall.
